Period Architecture

This block wide group of 100+ year old buildings in Ridgefield, NJ consisting of first floor commercial / retail spaces and upper level residential units, is receiving a complete rehabilitation that will renew their tattered exteriors and interiors with a sensitivity towards original details. The complete rehabilitation has the added benefits of allowing us to update to today's safety codes as well as upgrade to new energy efficient, environmentally friendlier mechanical systems.

Specific Requirements

Restaurant

Good architecture follows a simple principle: Form follows Function. For this Highway property the challenge was to aesthetically upgrade the exterior to invite you inside to the sensation of a very successful restaurant. Our design includes a new drive thru portico, easily navigated parking, outdoor dining, and expanded waiting areas finished on the outside to complement an existing dynamic interior design theme.

Retail Draw

A great retail store needs great visibility, plenty of square footage, and of course, customers. The massive building vocabulary of this design enhances the highway presence of the building by expanding to offer spaces to affiliate stores, which helps draw in shoppers. It exhibits a simple, clean, and crisp aesthetic, undoubtedly attracting attention from highway traffic.

Retail Strip

The big box works well for larger National chains. The mainstay in a retail market such as Paramus is the 3,000 to 5,000 square foot tenant with good highway visibility, easy access and convenient parking. In this project we have given a mixed use office & retail building a partial face-lift, an infill addition and a new dynamic entrance canopy to refresh its highway visibility. We also re-divided the tenant spaces to improve its appeal to the dominant tenant in the region.
